Tired and Overwhelmed
Have you ever felt like that? Knowing that you were in charge of something important but wondering if you have the talent or wisdom to pull it off. Well, I'm in that place. On of my favorite things to say is "It looks cool in my head; now only if I can get it out of there." We'll see if I can pull it off....pray for me!!!

Stork? or Pink Flamingo? This is the question...
Recently I had the idea to redue our porch. So, I hauled all the furniture, tables, and stuff from our porch to our drive way...my son, Jackson, asked me if we were having a "lawn sale". Well, after repainting everything and putting it all away plus a few little extras that I added. I loved it!! I was so excited that all my hard work paid off. Then......
While in the Piggly Wiggly, a friend of my grandmothers stopped to ask me a question I never thought to hear again. "Kirstie, Are you pregnant?"...well the answer to that is a definite NO! So I was curious why would she even think this? Turns out one of the extras I added to my porch had her and a few others confused. They thought our cute Pink Flamingo was a Stork to announce our new baby!!

What is a hero?
I guess the answer to that question is somewhat subjective to each of us. To me it's pretty simple; day in and day out doing what you know you have to do despite what you really want to do. Have you ever met people like that? They meet their lives head on and do what they have to without complaining? On paper this seems easy and we may say that we would without doubt do it but would we? Every morning when your feet hit the floor you knew that no matter what came at you that day you would handle it and know that God was in control. You would know that He had you in this place for His purpose and would continue to sustain you. Sometimes the path God calls you to walk are not where you would have gone, but you press on. This is being a hero.
Personally I would like the thank Captain Scott Kennis for pressing on and serving us all in the United States Army.

Why I Blog?
I looked up one day and realized that my kids were growing up right in front of my eyes. At the same time I also noticed that I was missing it all by being in the middle of it all. Does that make any since? So, to solve what I consider a major problem; I decided to Blog. I wanted to keep a record of all the things that go on in our lives plus my own view on stuff. I was reading a fellow bloger who called this her "scrapbook" I've decided to look at it that way also. I'm excited about it and I hope that you like it too!
